About Me

Hi! I'm Kayla -  Mother of 2 (soon to be 3), a born and raised New Yorker, and a full-spectrum doula offering evidence-based, heart-led support to families throughout pregnancy, birth, and postpartum within Staten Island and the surrounding area.

My path to birth work has been unfolding for most of my life but was really ignited with my own births. Like many parents, I spent a lot of time searching for reliable education and support, ultimately hiring a doula myself to help guide us through the experience. My birth was deeply meaningful and included so much of what I hoped for - and also moments that reminded me how unpredictable and layered birth can be. That experience stayed with me and inspired me to pursue training and mentorship so I could help bring more access, education, and support to families in our community.

I believe every parent deserves to feel seen, empowered, and supported, regardless of how their birth unfolds. I focus on meeting families where they are or aim to be - offering clear, evidence-based information paired with steady emotional and physical support.

My goal is to work alongside partners and support people, not replace them, helping families feel confident in their choices and prepared to advocate for themselves. Whether this is your first baby or another step in your parenting journey, I’m here to walk with you through it - with care that extends beyond the birth room and into the early postpartum weeks.

Community is at the center of my work. Through education, local partnerships, and community events, Honey Sticks Birth Co. exists to create connection and ensure families feel held during one of life’s biggest transitions.
